What this is

Pixel Workers is a membership organization and a public directory of named people who use AI in their work and who commit to keeping taste and human involvement in what they publish. Pixel Workers is actively working toward nonprofit status. Pixel Workers is committed to the mission of supporting human-involved AI usage.

What membership is and is not

Signing up is the whole commitment. The directory is self-selected. We do not review, vet, or certify members, and we make no claim about how any member’s work is produced. The camera step at signup, if you use it, confirms only that a live person was present when the account was created — nothing about identity and nothing about anyone’s work. We do not issue a “verified” status.

Being listed publicly

Your profile becomes public only when you press publish. A published profile associates your name and, if you add one, your face with a stated public position on AI ownership. Please understand that plainly before you publish. You can unpublish or delete your account at any time, and deletion destroys your media and everything derived from it.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to create an account.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post — your statement, links, and any image you provide. You grant us permission to display it on your public profile and in the directory while your profile is published. Do not upload images you do not have the right to use. We do not use your content to train machine-learning models and we do not sell or share it with third parties.

Acceptable use

One account per person. Do not impersonate others, and do not use the directory to harass members. We may remove profiles that violate these terms.

Privacy

How we handle your data — including the camera step and the full retention and destruction schedule — is set out in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we will update the version date above.
